I didn’t step into filmmaking all at once — it started quietly, with hours spent in front of my computer, editing stock footage I’d found online. At the time, I wasn’t sure where life was taking me. All I knew was that I loved piecing together moving images, giving them rhythm and meaning.
That uncertainty lingered until I enrolled in a Video Editing course at Mentor College. Suddenly, everything clicked. Sitting there in the editing room, I felt something I hadn’t felt before: clarity. For the first time, I knew this was where I belonged — in the world of filmmaking.
That moment of realization set me on a new path. I went on to pursue a BA in Photographic Communication at Hadassah College in Jerusalem. Those years were like opening a toolbox I never knew existed: videography, photography, video editing, UX/UI design, 3D modeling, video game design, communication. But above all, documentary filmmaking pulled me in the strongest. It spoke to my need to tell real stories, to bring moments and voices to life.
Looking back, I see how each step sharpened my passion for filmmaking and video editing. What began as experiments with stock footage has grown into a craft I love deeply. Creating videos doesn’t just feel like work to me — it feels like storytelling in its purest form, a way to capture meaning, emotion, and memory, and share it with others. It’s a way to give voice to the voiceless, a way to explain myself when words fall short, and sometimes, to have answers to the questions in my head.
